What if...
This article is to get you to thinking about situations where either your life, your spouse's life, the life of your children or someone else you love and care for suddenly is in jeopardy.
This is a quiz of sorts please take a pen and paper so you can refer to it after the quiz. Please don't read the quiz then answer, do it as you go. My reason for this will be obvious at the end.
First situation:
You work the night shift and your spouse is at home when suddenly they hear footsteps in the hall. They sound too heavy to be one of the children. Now your spouse gets up to investigate. Upon cracking the bedroom door they see three or four armed men headed towards your children's rooms.
Which would you rather your spouse have?
A: cell phone to call the police
B: AR 15 with a 3O round magazine
C; pepper spray
D: all the above
Second situation:
You are a young woman attending night classes walking home because your car would not start when a stranger grabs you, you pull away and get out of arms reach but he still keeps coming after you.
Which would you raather have?
A: cell phone to call the police
B: Glock 9 mm pistol
C: pepper spray
D: all the above
Third Situation:
You are sitting at a stop sign and someone comes up and smashes you drivers window to get in your locked car. It is a car jacking and / or a possible kidnapping.
Which would you rather have?
A: cell phone to call the police
B: Glock 9mm pistol
C: pepper spray
D; all of the above
Fourth Situation:
Your twenty two year old daughter is working nights, she is walking to the car after her restaurant has closed. She is the last one out all the others have gone home. She is walking through the parking lot and hears footsteps behind her and she speeds up her pace, as do the footsteps behind her. Again she walks even faster and so does the person behind her. Now she is frghtened and begins to run and the person behind her chases her.
Which would rather she have?
A; a cell phone to call the police
B: Glock 9 mm pistol
C: pepper spray
D: all the above
If you answered A: cell phone it a good possibility that your loved one or loved ones could be dead. Cell phones are bad about losing signal, batteries going dead, etc... Also most police departments can range anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to reach you depending on where you live and if they are on another call or working an accident.
If you answered B your loved one will be alive if they are trained and know how to use their weapon.
If you answered C: the pepper spray may work and does on most people, however on others it has little or no effect especially if that person is high on illicit drugs.
If you chose D: Your loved one will have the greatest chance of survival using the least amount of force necessary.
If you love your family equip them with the tools they need for survival. Most people think nothing like that will ever happen to me or my family. That is a foolish assumption. If you love them protect them by equiping them and yourself to survive and then train them in the proper use of each piece of equipment.
Support your Sheriff's if they are standing up against enforcement of unconstitutional gun laws. Contact your leaders in Washngton D.C. and tell them to vote in favor of keeping you second amendment rights, and you will vote against any leader that does otherwise.
It is just me and my wife and I have trained her to survive. I pray neither of us have to use the skills we have trained for. Unfortunately with ever increasing crime rates, race baiting, the Knock Out Game and the desperation of people who are unemployed and can't find a job, the chance of having to use our training increases everyday. We have on occasion had to pull our weapons on prowlers around the farm. So far they have followed our demands as we apprehend them and hold them for the police to come get them. I hope they continue to do so if the situation arises again, because we will shoot if the situation demands it.
