A Sad Day in America (Commentary)
A Sad Day in America (Commentary)
by William Moss
It is truly a sad day in America when the President of the United States (Barack H. Obama) commutes the sentence of a soldier who leaked military secrets endangering the lives of our military and CIA operatives overseas and at the same time said President shows more outrage that secrets were leaked that exposed corruption and criminal acts in his political party.
It is a sad day in America when members of the Democrat party cannot lay aside their childish opposition to the people's choice for one day to participate in the Presidential Inauguration a long time American tradition that should help to unify a divided nation.
It is a sad day in America when the Democrat Party after losing in huge numbers is so bent on keeping the people divided as they have for over eight years that they are willing put our citizens against each other based on racial divide they have created, the religious divide they have created and the gender divide they have created.
It is a sad day in America when citizens are no longer able to turn on network news and get fair and balanced reporting. Oh how I miss Walter Cronkite.
It is a sad day in America when during appointment hearings for cabinet nominations Democrat leaders appear to have no sense of what those jobs entail as they ask questions that have nothing to do with the nominee’s prospective position.
It is a sad day in America when so called Civil RIghts leaders are interested solely in the advancement of their particular race even at the cost of other races. Especially when they use mob violence to try to obtain their goal.
It is a sad day in America when activist like Al Sharpton hide behind God while spouting racism and hatred for whites and police officers and are allowed to do so while at the same time oweing millions of dollars in taxes and not being prosecuted.
It is a sad day in America when the President (Barack Obama) opens the floodgate for illegal aliens to come in our country unvetted, many killing our citizens, bringing in disease and committing a plethora of crimes while living on our welfare system they have done nothing to support.
It is a sad Day in America while our Vets are forced to live, starve, freeze and die in the streets while being denied the medical care they have earned and at the same time illegals and those who refuse to work are given priority care at the taxpayers expense.
It is a sad day in America when our Police Officers are murdered in the streets and our Nation's leaders egg it on and call such behavior legal protest. And members of Congress hang pictures depicting our Police Officers as pigs in our nation’s capital.
Yes my friends it truly is a sad day in America. One can only hope that President Elect Donald Trump will come through on his promise to make America Great again. However, it is up to each of us and our elected officials to lay aside our petty disagreements, put on our big boy and big girl pants and start to work together in unity and the spirit of cooperation to allow him to do his job and keep his promises. He is but one man and we are but on nation and one people irregardless to our skin color or country of origin, WE ARE AMERICA. LET US MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
